1966 Cal Look convertible
1 owner since 1982, daily driver up to 1987, rarely driven since, always garage kept.
Single stage acrylic paint job done in 1980. Miscellaneous small bumps and bruises on the body, all minor cosmetic. All the rubber seals were replaced when it was painted and are in great shape. The chrome on the window frames is not pitted.
The front end is lowered with Sway-A-Way weld in adjusters, canted so at full ride height the car sits 2 " lower then stock, with Gene Berg 3.4 degree caster shims.
New steering box, coupler, aluminum tie rods, tie rod ends, new king & link pins.
Bus master cylinder, single stage with top mounted reservoir, -4 Earls Teflon brake lines on the whole car, new wheel cylinders, Woven brake shoes, drilled and studded drums with Sway-A-Way 14mm studs. The emergency brake is hooked up and works.
Plaid gray & red material over the stock original door panels. The driver seat is from an earlier car but I have the original seat frame. Red & black coco mats are from the 70's, radio block off plate, and 60's era bud vase.
Gene Berg shifter # 2 of 500. Number 1 is at the Berg shop, # 3 my brother has and # 4 I gave to a friend for his project but its whereabouts are unknown.
TG fab torque bar, Gene Berg 643 intermediate mount, solid engine mounts.
2 swing axle transmissions both with Speed Unlimited steel threaded super diff's and steel side covers. The box in the car has stock gears and axles. The second box has close ratio 3rd & 4th gears with Sway-A-Way axles and a Gene Berg poor man's posi.
Fresh 2162cc engine 84mm x 90.5mm 10.78:1 compression ratio.

CB Street Eliminator head castings with 42mm x 37.5mm stainless valves, Chevy springs, ported by the Wes Copen at Asian European.
Italian 48 Ida's on polished Scat Track manifolds with old school welded Tayco crossbar linkage and chromed velocity stacks.
Kymco 1 3/4" merged header with extended collector and rotated 3 bolt flange, ceramic coated black.
Full 3" polished stainless steel exhaust system with Magnaflow muffler exiting in front of the right wheel all done by Tiger at A-1 Muffler.
-6 Earls fuel line from the gas tank to the back of the car. Oberg 6" filter, Holley blue pump with red and blue regulators - plumbed for a nitrous system that was never hooked up. Full 10lb. non-sulfur NOS bottle and solenoids included.
6 milk crates of VW treasure included: New engine case, Berg 69mm crank, aluminum motor mounts, Oberg filters, Porsche rods.....
