The #7 PCI Racing Trophy Truck launched into a cold, starlit Laughlin sky tonight traveling 154 feet before returning to earth during the Laughlin Leap competition. Leaving the jump just a bit sideways driver Scott Steinberger gave the sold out crowd a thrill but had it all under control. “The cold dense air is helping the motor make so much power its killing our traction; I have to peddle the throttle so she’ll hook up”. The second of two attempts came up a foot shorter. We’ll have to settle for 3rd place, but judging by all the camera flashes #7 gave the fans a great show. Carl Renezeder took the win at 159 feet; second place was Dale Dondel at 156 feet. |
