The SCORE Primm 300 was full of highs and lows, great weather, full crowd at the Tree Bar and lots of great teamwork by the PCI team. Jesse moved up 8 spots in the first 20 miles and then stuff started to happen. Our DNF because of fuel pressure is a tough one to take especially after we got it fixed, we just ran out of time. The official press release is being approved; it will be posted when finished.
Last week on Tuesday night, we had pit stop practice and it was a huge success. A few guys who never changed a tire on # 7 got their chance and after a few try’s everyone’s ego started to swell. Justin Harchar was the fastest followed by Bizcut in the sub 25-second category; everyone else was 32 seconds or better. A few of the guys tried out the fuel hoses and the jack duties as well.
The highlight of the night was the contest between Scotty vs. Mike Bursic, and when the torque wrench came out Scotty was the winner by 1 loose lug nut.
Scotty then picked up the tab for dinner at El Torrito to finish off a great night of bench racing, thrash talking and hanging out with the team.
Practice will continue every Tuesday night @ PCI starting at 6:00pm.
Tim Jones and the San Diego posse will be in town on an upcoming Saturday for some practice and to show us how then do it down south.
Vegas to Reno is happening October 6-8, 2005 we won it last year; lets make it back to back wins. We need a head count for the chase crews, let Bizcut or Tom Sobray know if you’re going.
October 15th is the Baja 1000 starting position drawing at the Lake Elsinore Casino starting @ 3:00pm. Fabtech is putting $5,000 up for a pit crew competition. No air tools???<
